No fragile flower I
need no special care,
for I have learned to thrive
in small, difficult spaces,
in wide open fields,
in unexpected places
with barely enough
to sustain me.
And, no matter
how many times
I am uprooted,
and cast aside,
despite all efforts
to eliminate me
once and for all,
I will find my way back
and I will grow again.
And one day
I will bloom.
