Welcome to the techno culture future dripping
into the 21st century project like a black futuristic
pop sensation who’s singing: there will be a future
where we imagine our own liberation. For instance,
my liberation is dripped in chrome-colored honey.
My liberation reflects worlds you haven’t even imagined
yet. It’s afro-punk and negress spunk and Latin funk
and I am tired of molding my body into somewhere
it will not fit. I don’t want to fix myself, you see.
I want to fix your eyes upward. I want you to gaze
into the raging stillness of a sky full of futures, and then,
I want you to keep your eyes open.
