Sea grass shaking
pompons in the waves,
the hands of a conductor,
trees in the wind—
we stand transfixed watching
how things ride on invisible currents.
We want to flow like that—
loose and relaxed
without losing our footing.
We time our breaths to their
swish and sway.
If we stay long enough,
we reset our clocks
to their seasons.
