I have rambled around in you
for a lotta years now.
Over hometown brick streets,
cobblestone mountain roads,
far-flung highways everywhere.
I have flown in you, too.
To Hawaii. To Sedona. To Aspen.
You’ve taken me nowhere and everywhere fast.
And I, your happy, haphazard passenger,
still ride along. Still dizzy. Still dazzled.
Still knowing I’ve hardly seen anything yet.
